Is there anything good about Online Dating?

I know not a lot of people put must stock into the online dating sites but there is good and bad in it. Just like there's good and bad in blind dates, personal ads or just meeting someone in a grocery store. You have to be patient and know what it is you want and don't deter from that.

There are sites that are legit sites if you're looking for "the special someone". Then there are sites that do promote the sexual aspect but don't count them out from finding a long term relationship either because there are some respectful guys/girls on them. Friend Finder is one that comes to mind, there's many aspect to the Friend Finder realm, there's also Senior Friend Finder, and of course the most popular Adult Friend Finder. I've been on Adult Friend Finder for a number of years and I've had good and bad experiences with it. Yes, there are a lot of doorknobs but I've met some very nice guys from there too. And when I say "met them" I mean face to face. Altho it's classified as a sex and swingers site, not all of them think only with the little head. If you're only looking for online chat you might want to try it for that too. There's also sites that are for designated countries as well such as Dating Reunited or Friend Search

I do tend to avoid the completely free sites because they do attract the more undesirable ones. Plenty of Fish comes to mind with them. The only ones you'll meet on there are the kids and the bums who can't afford to buy you a coffee never mind take you out for a night. I remember watching America's Most Wanted one night and hearing a story of them looking for a guy who had committed a double homicide, they got a tip from a girl who was on POF and he was listed on this site. Now the owner of POF did all he could to assist AMW in finding this guy but this is the type of these free sites attract. I'm not saying that it's all bad because you can get some idiots on AFF as well, some of the guys who actually do pay for memberships on these sites tend to think all the women are their own free private whores.

I also don't trust pictures either and this is on both the male and female sides but they all tend to put pics up that are either touched up or old ones from their youth. Let's face it everyone wants to look good to someone they're attracted to and some just don't believe they've gotten older. So go with the webcam. Now-a-days you can get a webcam cheap and a microphone as well, I figure if they can afford a computer and a membership for these dating sites, they can afford a cam too. One other added bonus if the guy is a paid member of whatever site you use, should the guy turn out to be a stalker or some whackjob, the police will have proof of who he is thru the site because most of the legit site owners will help the police should any of their members be harmed.

Then we come to the ones geared for married people like Ashley Madison. The gentlemen on this site weren't too bad to talk to. Yes, they wanted "casual encounters" or help with their "little problem", but they weren't demanding and they didn't just expect it either. And lets face it, if a man or a woman isn't getting enough at home then they're gonna look elsewhere, it's just human nature and personally I don't see anything wrong with enjoying human contact. People also have fetishes they want fulfilled also, which isn't always a bad thing. We all have our little niches. Some actually prefer web cam sex as well. They feel that isn't cheating or it's just something different or it's just a quick fix instead of solo masturbating. None of which are bad things either. It's quite healthy for the mind. May I suggest tho you look more into the cam girls rather then try to belittle the women on the dating or sex sites to be your private whores. Paid cam sites are not a bad thing either, at least you know you're gonna get what you want and you just have to be careful not to over do it.
